It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Edward Fletcher, affectionately known as “Dave” to his friends and “Dad” to his children. David passed away on October 19, 2024 suddenly at home, at the age of 83, leaving a legacy that will endure in the hearts of his children and grandchildren.

A celebration of David’s life was held on Monday November 25, 2024, at 2:00 pm at The Leaf, on the second floor, in Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg. Condolences may be sent to fletcherfamily@mymts.net.

Faster, more convenient air travel to the United States for passengers and their baggage

CALGARY — Following the Beyond the Border announcement made by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and U.S. President Barack Obama earlier this month, Michelle Rempel, Member of Parliament for Calgary Centre-North, announced today that travelling to the United States (U.S.) by air will be easier for Canadian travellers.
